Hello!
Am still working! The Powerpoint worked and I managed to place it where required without much a do.Calculating and setting the time took a while and a bit of repetition. The girls were very happy to have me at the back of the class than at the front as usual. I am amazed that such a small effort can bring so much pleasure to a class.Hope all yours worked well.

WEEK 6:Technology in Large Classes.
Ya, 6th week now.
In between going to school and running to the doctor I managed to do the Reading on large classes and use of PowerPoint found out the more you co-opt technology, the more your classes can become interesting. I always get disappointed when my class of 70 students in form one shrinks to 40 in form two and twenty something in form 3 etc. I am positive that a change in my methodology will help me retain more students or clients as my boss calls them! It will help me sell my subject!
The PowerPoint project? Still on the way! Hopefully by before the week end.

WEEK 5
The week has been trying for me! Back to school, Entry exams for term 2, harrowing visit to the doctor, lab, bla bla bla.... ah ! I can not believe I got the work done. Almost all.The rubric maker will become my friend. I think some I can change because the school only wants marks. Sometime where that comes from is not their problem. I can modify my type of assessment. The solution to my problems was just a click away, but the challenge is going to be how to have enough comps and time to access them?I want to try the webquest part. Wish me luck!

WEEK 5
Guys its week 5!
Still one page to sign up for called Rubistar. Nice things there but what with finding a new name and password, again! At this rate don't you think your identity can be stolen?
I am still thinking of a project! I love the idea and am excited about the possibilities. It has to be hot and original! Where doIi find one and others like Susan Gaer have already come up with The PROJECT? Am a bit intimidated.
I have no idea how to do the WebQuest, so I am shelving the Extra work idea for now!I loved the projects I saw there though, very much.
The Rubrics were an eye opener and I think very useful for the teachers and motivating for the students. I have already used auto-assessment many times and it works magic. Let me rest now and continue tomorrow

Week 4
Am I happy or what because I have almost completed week 4 work! Its back to school on Monday! Looking forward to 14 great weeks. How am I going to cope? That is ONE problem.Do you think I can find some shortcuts on www.ehow.com?The girls need to develop a teach yourself attitude. That would be great because I can just direct them to the inexhaustible internet and bang! Knowledge at the click of a button. But then I would not dare ruin my job oh!Courage all of you!

WEEK 4:
Becoming a Wired Teacher
Hi e- class mates!
I am still on the
road to becoming the wired teacher and soon I hope the course will move to
creating a web page!
My! The document by Krajka was long! The thought was good
but the Kenya Computer for Schools equipment program is still gazillions of
years behind and not coping too well! I may have to wait. But, If I will have
retired I will be at least a web designer. Such jobs are well paying here!
I wonder if the Kenya Powerless and Lightless Co will let me
finish or meet the Wednesday deadlines, so I am posting everything for the
week. I am also hoping that by using the site www.Marlo.com/card.html my girls
will start speaking English with a better accent and not in their maternal ! I
am still putting away material in the archives for reading after the 10 weeks
race! Thanks to Technology of saving and Delicious!
