Week 3
Hi class Mates,
The week is still here.I have read a lot. Linked a lot and learned a lot and...am still around. For the listening skills I found here to go. For the speaking skills at esl. com That was good until the Acrobat started misbehaving. I hope you all are able to get the software at Downloads for Free... Amen.
I am yet to get to the other blogs but I liked, no loved Delicious!I think the ones that dont come easy are best. I have now short listed Owips, Voisse, Grapevine, Blaberize ,Audiopal, Chirbit, Voicethread and http://accessrio.wordpress.com/ to visit! When? Ha don't worry, am still around!Just go for it and thank you Larry Ferlazzo!
I am going to recommend to you GoogleVoice too and the latest for free chat house in Gmail!Good luck,. Just leave or set aside time for work and family.
I am dreaming and planing for a school radio show, when we reopen!
Am so happy to be in this e-class!
Am also praying hard for the tropical rain to continue for the food and to stop so that I can get steady Internet. Happy learning you all

WEEK 3
Hi all!
Sorry to admit that my feet are still heavy and am not running as fast as I would like!Coupled with the rain and the Tropical Black-outs!My hands are full!
Ah I went to Delicious.com. It was tasteless at the beginning.I searched long (until I used Google) for the sign in or join page. Ok Laugh.. am daft ya..! Teacher please next time just give me the URL! I love those strings.
I could not get Acrobat to work on my old 256 comp.ha! But All is well that ends all well!So I read the other sites and it was very interesting. Am there and I am sure I have gone through the tasks and it still not yet midnight!
I am happy to have learned about Delicious and also the sample project by Tendouinde Bruno Nikiema from the American Language Center in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on ' A Reflection on & Action Research Report, Working with a Large Class of Grade 13 "Terminale" Students'. Am informed and looking forward to my own. Project on Making my students stop speaking English in their mother tongue! If I can.
The Randall's Cyber Listening Lab: http://www.esl-lab.com/ is the site I would recommend to all who want to teach these skills It full of the relevant and the necessary for Daily use. That is very practical.
keep it up!

WEEK 2
I have spent time on the readings for the weeks and this are my thoughts
1.The Jupiter site that our teacher have put us on reminds me of a national site we have for the Kenya National Examinations council that it uses every year to disseminate results of examination. The only difference is that is for a national exam and it cover all the regions of the country. In My school we have that system for internal examinations at the beginning of the term and in the middle which is on a LAN. Sadly we still have to make manual report cards at he end of the term. Very tedious !Ah technology is still coming. I think I would like to pioneer such a site for my French classes and eventually for the school. I hope I will have that ability at the end of this course. I am encouraged.
2. The reading on writing clear objectives took me back to college many years ago.I think I have to go back and revise all the stuff about Blooms Taxonomy. The situation now in many schools is that sometime we are teaching the EXAM.. Does it happen to you also out there?? It takes a course like this to put you back on track even if it means teaching the exam in a proper way..The ABCD method is good and I totally agree with the quote from the reading attributed to Jones and Lohr that it helps a teacher focus on designing a lesson for a specific skill and also evaluate achievement. That cannot be gainsaid.Fortunately in our classes of language the cognitive is more than the affective so ita is easier to make objectives
If I say the following, would it be acceptable?
After reading the given text ,the learner will answer correctly the questions that follow by using the underlined expressions in the text and thereafter construct 4 correct sentences using the same expressions.?(I am thinking of teaching the Perfect tense in French.)Oh the difficulties we meet there.
3. Oh I was not able to access the material by Huitt,W! help!
