WEEK 3
Hi all!
Sorry to admit that my feet are still heavy and am not running as fast as I would like!Coupled with the rain and the Tropical Black-outs!My hands are full!
Ah I went to Delicious.com. It was tasteless at the beginning.I searched long (until I used Google) for the sign in or join page. Ok Laugh.. am daft ya..! Teacher please next time just give me the URL! I love those strings.
I could not get Acrobat to work on my old 256 comp.ha! But All is well that ends all well!So I read the other sites and it was very interesting. Am there and I am sure I have gone through the tasks and it still not yet midnight!
I am happy to have learned about Delicious and also the sample project by Tendouinde Bruno Nikiema from the American Language Center in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on ' A Reflection on & Action Research Report, Working with a Large Class of Grade 13 "Terminale" Students'. Am informed and looking forward to my own. Project on Making my students stop speaking English in their mother tongue! If I can.
The Randall's Cyber Listening Lab: http://www.esl-lab.com/ is the site I would recommend to all who want to teach these skills It full of the relevant and the necessary for Daily use. That is very practical.
keep it up!
Tina

  1. Hi Tina!
First of all, you haven't "said" anything about yourself in your profile... How old are your students? As for the Delicious, I liked your comment that it was tasteless at first! I still believe it is as it cannot be edited as a blog (add colours you like, pictures etc. )On the other hand, who cares for the impossibility of editing when it can offer you a list of your favourite links anythime you surf the Net?
As for Randall's Cyber Listening Lab, I like it but I think it is meant for higher level students. So, I don't think I would use it for my primary school students. You never know, of course, what may happen in the future!
    Cheers!

    1. Thanks Georgia,
The reason I have not yet completed my profiles is because I am still learning the strings.I totally agree with you on the Delicious comment. It is fabulous now and am just realizing how i have become link-happy!
